stock struts with lowering springs?

stock struts with lowering springs?

i want to know the pros and cons of using lowering springs on stock struts. can anyone help me out?

pros = car will look good since its dropped.

cons = car will ride like crap
= car wont handle well
= ride will be boucny
= stock struts will blow quickly
= you will have to re-install everything when you replace the blown struts

do yourself a favor, and lower your car correctly. If you dont have the money for the complete setup, dont lower it yet.

some people survive on stock shocks with maxspeed/H&r... but i wouldn't recommend it.

I was on S-Techs and stock struts, they blew in about 3 weeks.... on AGX's now.

I wouldnt recommend this. Ive been thru it and i hated it. Thats why on the max im goonna do it the right way once the laziness passes me and i start installing the crap.

this is a 4gen thread and I got a 5gen. but I'll tell you most people have blown their stock struts. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

If you are doing it your self why not put on struts since you have to remove them to put the springs on any how. I have KYB GR-2's and love them. They ride firm but not to rough. I got them on e-bay for $240 shipped.
