more wonderful questions you must read :)

i have a 1999 automatic, and am wanting to just drain(not flush)....so my question is how do i go about doing this, do i need a new trans filter? Please any input would be much appreciated.....i already have the trans fluid...4 quarts because the guy at the dealer ship said draining it would only remove 1/2 of the old fluid, and then in another 4,000 miles drain it again and put a fresh four quarts.

please post any steps, pics, or links related to draining and refilling tranny fluid, thanks

so, all i will need to do is remove the drain plug underneath and allow some of the fluid to drain....then fill w/ a funnel throught the tube where the transmission dipstick is.
