4th Gen. with a 5th Gen Intake Manifold?

A while ago friend of mine was telling me that he spoke to some guy who actually did it, mounted a dual runner 5th gen, 3.0L, intake manifold on his 4th gen (dont know the exact year) the only problem i think was that he had to make an adapter between the manifold and the throttle body. Like I said this was a while ago and we were trying to find that guy but no luck. Did any of you guys or know of anyone who had attempted this? It should definately make a noticeable difference! And yes I did try searching but no luck!
