Can you clean injectors (off the car)

I have an extra set of fuel injectors and was wondering if i could soak them in a solution to help clean them a little.

How often are you supposed to clean/replace those? I can't find where it says what interval that is at.

there is a company out there that does this...they cycle the injectors while running a cleaner through them. Not sure how well soaking them would clean the actual pintle/valve portion.

Injectors are not a maintenance item like a brake rotor or clutch. They could easily live forever if your car has had an easy life. I would put them on the same order of life as the timing chain in the max....which is considered to be good for life.

I certainly believe in keeping your fuel filter replacement on schedule and a bottle of injector cleaner once or twice a year.
