Rpms fluctuating

Hey guys, These past few mornings with the cold weather and all, my car has been starting pretty weird. This only happens when the car is cold; a fresh start (every morning). The Rpms kinda fluctuate, and it almost seems like its gonna shut off. Then suddenly it'll go back to normal at 1400. I do recall when teh car did shut off by itself once while I had it remote started. I've recently had the starter replaced, and teh belts. THe battery was fine when I had the starter replaced - about under a month ago. Could it be the alternator going??

Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks in advance....later...

Start by cleaning the throttle body with carb cleaner and a toothbrush, and clean the idle control valve.

I had to change my idler cause my RPM's were all over the place...now the car runs fine. It's an expensive part(around $200) but you gotta do what you gotta do...

I have an IACV off a 97 FS (for a lot less than 200 bucks) - let me know if you are interested...

i had the same problems once, too. i replaced the throttle position senser, belts, air filter, fuel filter, and cleaned the throttle body and iac. it then drives fine for a week, then the problem came back on. i replace the platinum spark plugs, it only becomes a little better. at least it didnt' shut off anymore. but rpm is still running up and down like crazy. then i set out and researched a bit outside the forum. i got this seafoam solutions. blow it a couple times in the intake manifold system, some in the fuel tank, and some inside the combustion chamber from the sparkplug holes. the car seems to work fine after all. not having problems yet.
