you could get that ECU problem fixed for much much less than the cost of another Max, unless there is more to it that I dont know.

But you do have a lot of miles on you car so I'm guessing you'd also like to have a low milage car as well?

i could be a wire in the harness or the ecu and i dont have all kind of money to dump into my max anymore, so its time to put it down i love it sooooo much though and my dad is gettin pissed help me pay to fix it so he said to get out of it just as did the service dept at nissan.

sad to hear but good to hear your looking for another Max.

Are you going to part out the old max?

70K sounds good for a 99 Max. Coils and KS are somethings to watch out for on 99s but bu 70K I believe the KS should have been relaced by then. If your going to have a dealership check out the car to make sure its stable, get them to hook up a scan tool that will watch all componenets of the car and make sure everything is correct. like o2s, all sensors. etc.

I dont think there is anything in the 10-12K range that can perform, unless you check on ebay and get lucky you could pull a Twin turbo ZX in that range.

maaan I love that car.

so... did you get to fix the KS at all.
well, seeing that you are having a hard time with your maxima, and have the oney to trade for a better one, then I would say, go ahead.
but if you are like me, (poor colege student, with 95 190k) then I say keep the car like MDeezy said.

But it is up to you.
good luck

Your still gonna have to repair/replace your ECU problem, or sell your max broken for cheap. Sounds like that is your first issue to deal with.

not really i could trade it in @ the dealership and its good. it only acts up when it is idling. its a wire in the wire harness or the ecu. i love my max so much i wish i could keep it and fix all it needs or find a se-l or the same as mine.

here is your solution, in order for you to get another maxima (99se-l, or newer)

BEG, BEG BEG BEG BEG FOR YOUR FATHER TO LET YOU HAVE A MAXIMA, IN FACT BEG HIM TO GET A NEWER MAXIMA 00+.
JUST KEEP BEGGING AND BEGGING AND BEGGING

it was up in the air but i decided to keep my max for a while. one question to help me keep it, everytime i stop it hesitates to stay running. the mechanic said it was either in the wire harness or the ecu, what do you think?
