removal of the ecu

Hey,

I did a search, couldnt find anything. Can anybody be kind enough to give detailed instructions, or a link to it, for directions on how to remove my ecu? I've never done this before, all I kinda know is where it is, so please be detailed.
Another thing, would it be too hard for a newbie as myself to do? Or should I go to have a mechanic work on it?

thanks for your help as always!

2 options, get a very short and tiny screw driver (home depot has this thing for 16 bucks, ratchet screw driver that works pretty good), and the ecu is held by computer plate with 4 screws surrounding the ecu at all 4 points (2 in front 2 in back)

other method is strip the entire middle console and u can unbolt two screws down the middle and it will come out with the plate. I thinkfirs tmethod is easier cause there is a lot of stuff to move.
