True 4th gens are pretty cheap now. I got a 1995 5-speed with 186000 km (115k miles) for 4000$ Canadian (3200$US).

1. i am eating rice right now ---- with my sweet n sour chicken and egg rolls. (china king buffet is the shi0t!!)

2. i love rice-mobiles. Not w/6 foot tall wings and bubble bee exhausts though(thats retarded...no offense 2 any retards on the board)

3. why make fun of people who like riced out to the max cars? do you know how much **** i got for my honda? and the funny thing was, i have loved the ricers WELL before F&F (stupid movie) and i had a ricer well before F&F (parts were a LOT harder to come by ...). I also had a mini truck back when minitrucks werent "cool". So I think the peole who need to be made fun of are these 16 year olds who get mommy and daddys credit card and go crazy on the internet finding stuff to void the warranty on the brand spankin new whatever that mommy and daddy bought them for their birthdays -- dont make fun of the people who are into the syle and the look of the car because they truely honestly enjoy it ... not just because "its the fad".

JMHO ... don't hate me, not trying to start any shi0t, just trying to say there is a difference between love of the style and just pure teenage stupidity.

I got my 1997 with 180,000 for $4000 before tax and title.

I however did not care how much it was, I was going to get it if it was $2000 or $12000. I just have always wanted a maxima.

Nothing is done to mine ... completely stock. Gonna get the windows tinded soon, and some red/clears .... then a new engine and some 18"s. Thats all that I am going to be able to do to mine

I don't care what anyone says, rice is ghey.
There's a handful of 16 yr olds here who have nice 4th gens, clean, not rice. Props to them.
Then there are also a handful of 25+ year olds who are riced out so. . it's not in age, but the pattern still suggests that with the 16-20 year olds being pretty riced out.

LOL! Where did it go? I think the torque fairy took it. Check under the pillow. Is there a max driver weight in the owner's manual?

Whoo! My first post on a forum other than NissanForums! (I'm up to over 900 over there, primarily technical.)

Anyways... If you guys hate the rice here, you should read the GA16 forum over there. It's just full of 16 year olds with their first car asking how to boost it for 300 bucks. I can't count the number of threads I've read asking for cheap or free performance mods. Unfortunately, we can't suggest robbing a parts store so we have no choice but to flame

You guys seem to have a pretty good thing going on here. Seems like a primarily more mature audience, even if the occasional idiot stops by.

I'd like to personally thank you for the stickies. I came here looking for general information on Maximas because I'm considering one to replace my aging 93 Sentra with the GA16 weedwhacker motor in the spring. (Not that I mean to knock it. It's actually a nice durable economical engine with big potential if you can afford it. It's just that it makes nooooo power in stock form.) I found the forum and saw the stickies and spent a couple of hours reading the stickies alone and found answers to damn near every question I wanted to ask and a whole bunch more that I didn't even know to ask!

This is why I have often pushed for an "appearance" forum and a "tech forum" for each generation but so far most people have thought this was a poor idea.
excellent idea - im a member of another forum that has a tech and non-tech forum and its great. you can bypass most of the rice questions, as long as people respect the content of each forum, and it doesnt make posts dissappear to the next page before people can get a chance to see them. an excellent idea IMHO.
