Dude, 92 octaine MINIMUM. Running less impacts the engine compartment, and components. You'll have to replace major engine components in a few years if you keep it up.
Dude! Why do u think the knock sensor is there? The ECU will adjust to the different fuel, you may get slightly less performance, but it will not hurt the car. Plus I don't totaly trust that the octane is what is rated on the pump. Did anyone ever take some of there 91 or 93 octane gas and have it checked out by a lab. Hmmm. to me that would be interesting.

Resetting the ECU wont do anything. The ECU is constantly learning and adjusting.

Just stick with 91 octane or better. At my local station I can choose 87,89,91,92 or 93.5 octane.

If you only have the option of 87, 89 or 93, you can mix half 89 and half 93 to get 91 and save a few pennies.

My car has 200k miles and a dead O2 sensor but I still get 24mpg around town and almost 30mpg on the highway.
