really basic: how do you remove clearance lights?

My Haynes manual says unscrew the screw, which i did, then "wiggle" until it pops free. Ok so I can move it around back and forth but that's all. I tried pulling it out but it came out half way and there was just stuck there, can't even wiggle it anymore. I know this is like basic stuff but can someoen elaborate on how to do this? i dont wanna break any clips or snap anything accidentally.

while we're at it, i can't see to "pop" the signal lights out either.

this post should help you.

A long, skinny screw driver would be the best way to do it. Try and pull on it a little bit (inbetween the headlight and the corner) and you should see the connection. Use your screw driver to pry it away. Of course you could just yank on it till it pops off but you risk damaging your wiring.

pull forward (away from car) against the headlight, and it will pop out. If you pull it sideways it wont come out.

While on the subject....how do you remove the headlights? Does the front bumper have to come off?
