MY CAR SUDDENLY STARTED TO SHIFT AT 6 1/2 to 7 is this bad, i dont know i havent addded any mods recently. what is it?

what gears? My auto shifts at 6 when I get on it, i'm completely stock.

Get into 2nd gear, low rpms, then floor it...see if your tranny slips. If it does, take it to a tranny shop asap.

I dunno what it could be im 5spd but check ur tranny oil it might do that because of your tranny fluid.

You're car will not go in 6600+, unless you downshift.

I dunno, I've punched it really hard before, and I've gotten it past 6.5k, but that was on a really good jump. Usually I'll hit 6k when I floor it.

Mine shifts around 6200 - 6500 at wide open throttle.

if its auto, under part throttle, could it be a failure of the TPS, so it takes forever to shift?

check if you overdrive is off

I heard something about "valve float" as a result of the engine being over-revved, is this correct?

might want to check your tranny out, as well as your engine

I dont know about you guys, but I'm auto and i can shift it between 6600 and 6700 RPM with no problem at all...
