Squealing maxima....

In the morning or whenever the car has been sitting around in the cold, one of the belts squeak. I know there is a power steering belt and a alternator belt, are there any more? Which ones cause it to squeal when the car is first started. Thanks.

It could be either one.

How old are the belts?

Thye may need to be replaced, or just tightened.

I just had my alternator replaced so I am sure that one is new, the power steering belt is old. Is there a AC/fan belt which needs to be replaced also.

No only two belts.

You probably need to tighten the newer belt just a little.

Hey ... mzmtg .... my girl has had a problem staying started the last couple of mornings, its so cold it will crack and then stay started for about 3 seconds and then die, I have to crack it and give it some gas for her to stay started, then there is no problems after that.

Is that normal in the cold? Its not every morning, just the really cold ones.
