question for you guys about buying another maxima

i know a girl who has a '95 or '96 max, its got about 100,000 miles on it, and the exterior is tore up! crazy hard water spots all over the driver side body and windows, couple of corner lights broken, just pretty mesed up.

anyways, she said she would sell it for $1500. the engine still runs good. it is automatic. i'm just wondering, should i buy it? maybe for a parts car? would i be able to use very many things from it, being that mine is a '97? would i even be able to use the engine, for that matter? or would it be a problem because mine is OBD II?

what do you guys think?

hers is odb2 also....but if you already have a max...why buy a tore up one for 1500?..even for parts? Just take that 1500 and go buy what you want or need. Parts cars take up alot of space.

dam, depends on what plans u have. If it was me, i would buy it. I really want to have a all looks car and the same car for all speed. Probably even same color, same look so someone thinks i brought out show car but its really my race car, get smoked

Plus if u ever go into deep modification, u gonna want a beater to drive when your real sh*t goes. What better beater than a maxima

depends on your plans but i would get it.

P.S. - i'm high as hell!

well yeah, that would be cool, but i want the fast car to be 5 speed.
as far as being able to drive it, i cant if i take out the engine to have it rebuilt, which is what i would like to do.

Offer her $1000. If she agrees, then take what you want out of it, then part out the rest and sell it on ebay.

Or, you could work on it. IMO $1000 for a '95 engine, tranny, frame, etc. is a cheap way to start going mod crazy if you're into that.
