oem spoiler install

ok i bought a used oem spoiler from the for sale section and am hoping its at my house this weekend so i can have my uncle help me put it on

i was wondering what you guys did with your rear deck after installing the spoiler... i assume you have to cut those metal tabs that hold the 3rd brake light in place then did you recarpet the deck or use something to cover the hole

I got my oem spoiler a month or so ago, i just left my 3rd break light in, it would look a lot worse with it out. pretty simple install, just a little time consuming the only thing i had trouble with was tightening the nuts on the spoiler bolts, because I didnt realize this till after i drilled, that the wholes i had made, were still behind more metal pieces in the truck, ones that i couldnt figure out how to take off, so i just drilled a lot of of the other metal piece so i could tighten the nuts around the bolt

^^^That's what we did too, just drilled through both layers of metal. I left my 3rd brake light on there, it'll be removed someday, but it isn't on the top of my list.
