Ripping out the Bose

Can someone tell me briefly how to get to the tweeters in the Bose system. I was just wondering if the small grills some off or the entire cover comes off the pillar. I have the instructions for everything except that. Thanks.

yeah, the entire cover comes off the pillar. I just used a flathead screwdriver at the top, applied firm pressure, and it's held in by clips which pop.

open door
remove door sills
pull up on weatherstripping from kick panels to top of a-pillar
pry from top of a-piller out, it will come out nice and easy
unplug harness from tweeter, unscrew phillips screw.
remove housing.

Wow, what a day. The Bose is gone. I'm using the factory wiring but other than that it is gone. I replaced it with an Alpine 9833. It sounds pretty good but I need some base. The guy who had the car before me had a Bazooka put in but it doesn't do much. Even my wife said it needs some base so I will get something in the future. I was thinking I would just get this car and drive it as is but I realized this is just something some people like to do. Since I got the car I've done the following:

New stereo system
B & M short shifter
E-brake and shift boots (redline goods)
new tires
new tint
Suspension (Tokico illumina struts and Tokico springs)

I might be done for a few months but I'm going to get a sub/amp and shift **** next (does anyone know a good place to get a leather ball ****?). In the spring I will also start working on the intake exhaust. I didn't care much for the car until it got lowered and the short shifter installed. The drive is much better now.
