cv joints replacement

cv joints replacement

anybody know if you have to pull the passenger cv joint first or can you pry the driver side without removing other side chiltons says you gotta pull the passenger side first and pop it out through the other side.

When I replaced mine ... I just used my large pry bar between the joint and the trans case.... it came out fine.. didn't even take much pressure

mine didnt pry out... dont take out the other side's axle, it would be stupid... just grab the drivers side axle and pull it out as hard as you can and you will see it is quicker and less annoying than lying underneath the car and trying to pry the thing out...

I used an explosive/snapping action. I'm sure it would be better if you pulled...really hard.

I just yanked the bisch out (had to leave on a 2K trip 1 hour later).

We'll see if my tranny's bearings fuxor up over time.
