just a little tip - when you take out the 8mm nuts and are ready to pull the taillight out, pull it out really fast, like ripping a band-aid off your skin really quick, because that gooey black crap that's behind the light will droop down and get all over your bumper if you don't pull it out quick. when you yank it out really fast, the black monkey snot will separate and you won't have strings of it. it's kind of like mozarella cheese

i'm retarded

there should 4 screws if you look behind the carpet, just unscrew [make sure not to loose the nuts], and push hard on the bolts, the light will eventually come out.

OneToughMax - good point on the mozarella cheese.

yeah, you gotta do a bit of pushing and prying to get the light to seperate from the adhesive, but it's not too hard.

thanks everyone for the replies, luckily for me I figured it out like 5 minutes after I posted that. The red/clears look great, and now i'm wishing that was one of my first mods along with the dc clears in the front. Everyone should do this to their maximas, it looks so clean. Anyway, im sure you all know what they look like, but I'll post pics tom., my car is going through a lot of modificiations including aluminum doors sills and inserts from ea-evolution, 7 inch in dash lcd with ps2 install, red clear tails, custom max's fogs, i'll try to get pics up tom.
