Just curious is the the tube that come out from the side the one that needs to be cleaned or am I cleaning the wrong one. The tube has like a bolt in one end and a rubber connection on the other one cause I have the same problem and I replaced the whole valve/solenoid. Thanks

Another Soution to 0302 Error Code
I have an Infiniti I30 1999 and I have been getting the 0302 error code. After two visits to the mechanic, they found out that it was the clogged vacuum line, which connects to the EGR Valve, that was causing the error message. Only cost me $90.
I hope this helps.

There wasn't much in the tube, but I cleaned it with small piece of speaker wire and Seafoamed it, and replaced the rubber tube. It can't hurt anything to do it...

Just as a thought, two of the pics in that picture diagram further up were taken by me. I've made my pics publc so anyone could use them. It would be nice to get some credit tho....

Code P0400 help!
Ok, I have a 1998 Nissan Maxima GXE. Got code P0400 and P0325. The mechanic replaced the EGR Valve, cleaned the EGR tubes, and replaced the knock sensor. 2 days later, P0400 comes back. The mechanic replaced the BPT Valve and EGRC solenoid. 2 days later, P0400 again.
Any thoughts? If there is something wrong with the EGR system, why does it take 2 days to throw the code? Is it possible I have a bad EGR temperature sensor? (another $100-$130 part.)
