I picked up a cd changer from a 2000 max it is a model# SCD-N66E. Will it work in my 1999 with bose?

 

I would say yes, just need to plug it into the aux port on the back of the bose unit, and wire up the rest.

I put a 2000 bose unit in my car, played fine. . . but didnt fit

 

Do you know if the model# will work?

 

dont know the model # for sure, but i'm very sure it has the proper connector needed. have you tried to install yet?

don't they have to be alpine changers? I've heard as long as it's alpine it's fine.

However changers are kind of silly. just replace the head unit with one that plays MP3s, then you can have more music per disc than 6 CDs and it's at your fingertips. Better yet, a head unit that plays DVDs and MP3s, then you can have 4 gigs of music per disc!
