My starter is dying, I think!

My starter is dying, I think!

you know that noise the car makes when its already started but you forget and turn the key again and it starts like grinding!
Well my car is doing that type of noise only when the mornings are cold. It will make that noise a few times and then finally start. Its not a struggling to start noise but more of a grinding noise.
Any ideas?
How much are new starters?

try regreasing it before you waste your money buying a new one. there is a write up on www.motorvate.ca

jsut got a new one put in..about 140$ from napa starts right up

mine is going as well... ill be stopping by autozone and getting a new one later this week

i agree...try regreasing before u invest in a new one. I regreased mine 2 months ago and it is still going strong
