my car isnt runnin too good....

Ok to start it off, i have the 0304(KS) and the 1008(EVAP). My car was runnin fine with both these codes. Ive had the 0304 code for a while, it didnt really bogg me down too much, just gave me crappy gas milage. I just recently got the 1008 code, it was running fine with this code for about a month. Now all the sudden, my car stutters when med-heavy throttle is applied, so im guessing it has something to do with the knock sensor. Im not sure tho because im not too sure what the symptoms of a bad KS are, because ive never experienced one with any other car.

basically, whenever i want to accelerate it feels like im riding a horse. Its very un-smooth because of the sudden drops of RPMs. Do you all think the KS this is the problem?

I plan on checking my PCV valve, throttle body, and i guess my EGR system. anything else i should check?

Another question i have is, is the 1008 code really anything to worry about?I pretty much didnt care when i saw it.

Sounds more MAF related.

After you clean those items you listed, let us know what happens, and also after you change out the items concerning your codes.

What year is your Maxima? If its a 99, it may be bad coil packs.

I got the evap minor leak code once(turns out we forgot to connect a vacuum hose), and during that time car ran bad and had trouble idling.
