Ok What the hell is going on ! Today my RMP about 65 mph started to read 6000 and it started to go high! The RPM meter went all the way around clock wise to where it hit the stop. I came to a stop light and took my foot off the gas and it came down to about 4000. I got to work and I turn the car off, and the RPM read 3000 with the car off! The car drove fine but the meter was going crazy. Anyone know what could be going on?

I see from your sig that you have Indiglo gauges. Did you remove the needles to install the gauge face? I would check the electrical connector on the back of the gauges. Napa sells an aerosol electronics cleaner called CRC. Spray some of that on the connector and the printed circuit board that it mates to.

I'm going to check that, but is it possible that the needles came lose? What is the best way to set it back correctly?

Youc an also clean electrical contacts with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. It seems like you needle may have just come loose. Try re-aligning it and...I dunno...gluing it in place?
