Need Help: Noise Coming From Engine Bay

Guys I Need Your Help. Every Now and Then I get A loud noise coming from my engine bay. Yesterday i lifted the hood when i heard the noise and it sounds like it was coming from the manifold/valve cover area. It is very loud and sometimes get louder when i rev the car. It is becoming annoying. Does anyone know what this could be? At first i thought my axles might be going bad cause i need a new tranny but now I'm not sure what this could be. It will be going to my mechanic tomorrow but wanted to see if any fellow orgers could help me with this before i take it. Any help is appreciated.

What kind of noise is it? Is it a whiring sound? Screeching? thumping, knocking?

sounds like thumping a little bit, could also be knocking but it's loud. You could definitle hear it outside the car.

always there. with or without the AC on. after awhile, when car gets a little warm i believe, it does tend to go away but sometimes it stays. It's bugging the hell out of me.

I have the same noise. It's more like a whining sound (woooooo kind of noise) that you can hear better when you're in the car. It happens only when the car is cold and as soon as its warm it goes away. A friend of mine told me it could be the power steering pump since I have a leak in the steering rack. He said that when the power steering fluid is cold it creates pressure on the power steering pump and that's where that woooo noise come from.

regards

if its a thumping noise and its very loud it sounds like your timing chain (i would guess) if your tensioner went bad it would do that, or also could be your water pump going, so if theres coolant under the car it's probably that. No coolant i'd say timing chain, which will be insane to have done at the dealership they'll wanna charge like 1k in labor.
