Fog Light Bulbs?

i just got some super white 12v-55w-5000k bulbs and they dont seem any brighter then stocks. very disappointing. so i was wondering whats the highest watts i can get before it burns my wires. i know stock is 55w. im thinking of getting either 80w or 100w. any suggestions??? thanks.

I added 100w light bulbs to my old car and the stock wiring held up fine. Haven't done it the Maxima yet though.

100 watt bulbs will heat up the glass and will make it crack either get PIAA or a Hid kit

I did the 100w H3 bulbs on both my old cars stock wiring and nothing ever happened to the wiring, glass, housing, nothing.

However, Japanese cars seem to be a little more fidgety and seem to have thinner wires, so I've been hesitant to try this on my Max.

I put new Piaa extreme white plus 55w in my fogs; I really wanted to put the 85w they have but several guys and dealer told me that will burn wires, crack glass and damage electrical system; I removed the metal bulb cover from inside the fog light housing and they look brighter when you look at them from the front but only slightly brighter on road; I really wanted them to work as a second low beam light. The bulbs you got seem to be cheap stuff, the Sylvania Silver work good as well, almost any after market bulbs are better than stock.

Fog H3

Hi, I found that using PIAA 85/110 W bulbs just a nuisance. Then burn out 3-6 months. I've been using PIAA 55W for almost a year now. They are bright enough for me.

I hate the bulbs in my Max. Just today they were so dim on reflection of a truck in front of me that I thought one was out. Who carried the PIAA's I know of them, but have never seen them in person. Wish I had the bank to put some projector fogs. What do those run?
