Got my baby back!
Got my baby back!
So, I know I never posted about what happened earlier so here's the back story: About five weeks ago I got home early on a Saturday morning (around 2:30-3AM) and parked my Max on the driveway. So I go inside and hit the hay and wake up the next morning to my dad waking me up and telling me that he had just backed into my Max. At first I was in disbelief then I was just angry. Not at him just at the fact that I knew it would take a buttload of time and money to fix it. I didn't have a digital camera at the time to take pictures of the wreckage but perhaps the figure $2,800 will paint a picture for you. That's how much the damage cost to fix. What had happened is my dad backed out of the garage and straight into the front-drivers side of the Max with my moms Honda Pilot. the Pilot only had a little bit of paint chipped off of the rear bumper, but the Max suffered a worse fate. The bumper was mashed, the headlight was shatterd, the corner light was cracked to bits, the hood was folded on the left side and the fender was mashed slightly. The man that owns the body shop which we took it to said we were fortunate that the airbags didn't deploy, I guess it was that hard of a hit.
So I finally got 'er back today and honestly she looks better than when I bought her. All nice and shiny, a smooth clearcoat. She's gorgeous. The pictures are horrible cause they were taken with my only camera (cameraphone) but from what you can distinguish you wouldn't even notice that something bad happened.
Let me know what you guys think.
