Service Engine Soon (not CEL?)

My '97 max just had a 60k tuneup about 10k ago (im at 71k now.)

It's a 5 speed. New belts, new PCV, new fuel filter, changed my oil under 300 miles ago. Runs like new (still does,) but on my way to taco bell between classes today my "Service Engine Soon" like came on, not the CEL.

Does this throw an error code in the ECU that can be checked the same way as the CEL, and is it generally as bad? How can i check this; Im gonna try checking the ECU now but I don't know if that will work.

"Service Engine Soon" is the same as the "Check Engine Light"

SES = CEL

Just checked it, i get

0903
0304

which are

EVAP Canister vent control valve
Knock Sensor

im guessing the knock sensor code is what made the light actually come on?
if i reset will this come back on immediately?

and do you think it would be alright to drive ~ 500mi before i get a change to change it, got a very busy week ahead of me...

The KS won't turn on the light.

I'm looking at motorvate right now, the writeup for his KS change mentions that he kept resetting his ECU when the code 0304 (KS) came up and it kept returning ... so apparently it can?

That code by itself will not cause the light to come on. But it will be stored.

So then 0903 must have triggered the light?

EVAP Canister vent control valve

What exactly is that... never even heard that name before.

Actually that evap canister/valve is right where my car was hit a few months ago, that could have very well dislodged the connection ...
