Is the interior worth it?

I'm thinkiing about converting my tan interior to all black sometime in the future (probably not for another year). But I wanted to plan way in advance....

A) How much it would cost (assuming I could use parts cars)

B) How much time / energy would be involved

C) Wold it all be worth it?

....Just a thought. What do you guys think. Oh and if I can ever get some pics of my ride I'll post them up so you can see.

I was thinking of changing mine from tan to something else as well but much like you I am not sure how much that would cost. as far as is it worth it, that is entirely up to the person. if you end up happier with the different color than it would all be worth it in the long run

I like my tan -- IMO, it's too much of a hassle.

yes like tetsu-kun said its all about if your happier with your interior afterwards, is it all tan in your car?

try taking a pic of your interior then photoshoping it black to see what it would look like, so that way you'll get a feel for how the inside will look without actually doing it, that way if you decide you dont like then all you did was spend 15mins with photoshop and not buying all the part and stuff and spending all that time.

Seats are no big deal to take on and off, neither are door panels. Have fun with the dashboard. Its not worth it IMO

I thought about doing that too. I had found the complete interior for like $650 but at the time I didn't have a job so I didn't buy it. But now that I think about it I think I'm just gonna get some custom seats from leatherseats.com I just don't know what colors would look right with the tan and **** brown.

Believe it or not, the tan has grown on me. I've had all-black interiors before and now I think they are too dark, too sombre and too hot in the summertime.

Try doing something to break up all the tan. Like get some coco mats that have a mixture of black and tan. Changing out the whole interior would be too much trouble, IMHO.

It'll take you about 10-15 hours and it'll cost anywhere from $500 to $1000

Since your interior is tan and brown.. how about tan seats with brown in the middle?

Tan is just so comfortable and clean looking IMHO. Black is too dark and blah. The tan has multiple tones and looks great witht he wood grain. Stick with it man it will cost you tons of money and headache, and the dashboard would be a biatch. The carpeting on the cieling would also suck, along with the sunroof slider.

im bout to paint my dashboard black...i cant stand the brown, what was nissan thinking with the whole line of nissans wit tan interiors.....lets put in tan seats, off set that with a beautiful looking black steering wheel, and u know what...doooo dooo brown dash.....really genuises....

im going to start with the piece between the front 2 seats....thats basically the test to see if i can really do the black myself...if i f--- it up, its betta than messin up the whole dash first... im eventually going to get all tan leather seats with black piping....i want 350z seats in front and i30 rears....it will look sick if i eva do it, and im sure sumeone will take my idea anyway....

I don't love my interior but tan/ brown does it for me. If I had the $$$ I would get the 2-tone leather seats(brown in the middle, tan in the outside part) and make the brown part have small holes, like the new acuras, infinitis to make it look sportier.
Bc $1000 and 20 hours of work for interior is ridiculous. With that money you can get new suspension, y-pipe, muffler, udp, so many options.
So screw that and put some muscle under the hood.

im doing the conversion now, im almost completely done, all i need is b and c pillars headliner, and the dash. all of this id probably get done professionally. ill do the carpet myself cause it doesnt seem so hard, i checked it out when i took out my seats and center console. my headliner i think i want to go with a custom CF headliner, might be expensive but ill see..... the dash i am def not going to put in myself, i seen how hard it is taking out an entire dash and id glady pay someone to do it 4 me. if black is what you really want, i say go for it. h8ed tan with a passion after it got so hard to keep clean.

if you do this, i recomend getting everything at once and after you have all the necceary pieces, go ahead with the install. i didnt the wrong way and would get a piece and install it and it looked bad whenyour car is 25% black and 75% tan, now i have it switched around so it looks allot better. price varries, i got my leather locally for $150 bux for good condition black leather, the guy thought they could fit his 3rd gen and he needed to get rid of em fast, and the back armrest needs to be re upholstered. look around. good luck.

Anybody have any pics of a tan interior with custom 2 tone leather seats fron leather seats.com? My front seats are cracked and I was thinking of getting new covers.
