Haynes or Chilton?

Which manual is best for the 4th gen. The Haynes book or the Chilton book?

uhm. i got the haynes and its pretty in dept and exlpained good. doesnt matter but i guess but i would get the haynes

I agree. You are running in the dark a lot of times without the Factory Service Manual. The Haynes can help. The ideal combination is the FSM and the Haynes. The Haynes explains the basics, the FSM has all the detailed info you might need.

Edit: BTW, the amount of useful info on this site is outstanding. Of course, there is a lot of noise, also, but that's the way it is with most Internet forums.

From my experience the Chilton is better than the Haynes. I have the Haynes and the online FSM from PhatG20, and the Haynes is not very descriptive.
