Belts

The dealership sayed they had replaced the belts about 2 weeks ago and before I purchased the car and I had it inspected. They said the belts looked shinny and they should not look like that.

I told the dealership but he showed me the reciepts and everything that they had put factory belts on it.

What does shinny belts mean? Is the dealer wrong or ... ?

(I bought the car anyway to nice to pass up)

there is a belt spray that you can spay on the belts to stop sqeeking that maybe is what was sprayed. is it shinny on both sides?

does your ac run fine? could have your battery tested to see how much charge it has.

Shiny means nothing, you can usually tell an old belt when the writing and part numbers are almost worn off and older belts usually arent as smooth as new ones. THey start to crack after a while.
