2 items: passenger door and the rubber mnt
ok, I was cleaning out my car from the passenger side and something strange caught my eye. I looked in the door hinge area on the bottom and noticed that there was a bunch of debris (dirt). I could not believe my eyes, there was a LOT! It took me about 5 minutes to clean out all the crap in there and not that it does a lot but now when it rains I know it won't just sit there in the door allowing water buildup and eventually rust!
Now for my next issue/question: what is the name of the rubber mount that is on each of the door jams that cover the light switch? Mine are really looking bad and I don't want water getting in there causing more problems. I already switched the passengers with the drivers but now both are in need of replacing.
Post back if you found the same thing about the passenger door. I was really amazed!!!

Don't know what those little rubber mounts are called, but when mine have been bad for a while. The last time I went by the nearby auto wreckers, I nicked a bunch off several cars, including an old 87 maxima, and a 88 camry. They're pretty generic, so they should be easy to find. The ones I grabbed (the guy working there didn't bother to charge me for them) were in really good shape, as opposed to most of what was left on those cars.
