i was just wondering what is the difference between the 95-99 3.0L 190 HP and 00-01 3.0L 222 engines. both 3.0L but one makes more HP then the other, the only thing i have seen from just glancing under the hood of both is that the 95-99 has an aluminum intake manifold, while the 00-01 has a plastic(i think)black intake. everything from the top looks almost identically other than that. i kno they used the same engine but since one has an extra 32 HP, the only thing i can think of that adds extra HP that nissan engineered would be a change in the exhaust?

any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated THANKS!

 

exhust chagnes were made but i do not know what exactly was done. they have a variable intake whihc creates a high torque curver, and they do not suffer the loss we up there.

mostly intake man......exhaust.....and maybe lil more agressive cams....i am prolly wrong

 

Intake Pelenium, More agressive cams, and exhaust alittle different...

They are heavier as well
