Heated Seats

I have a 95 Max with heated seats. Buti dont believe they work. When i flip the switch the switches don't light up. The fuses are good. is there anything else i can check.

One switch is all sticky. i think the previous owner spilt coke on the center console. Where can i buy some new switches. thanks

I've got the same thing going on. It's one of those mind over matter things. I swear some days it seems like it's working without the light being on.. other days I don't notice any heat. I checked my fuse too and it's just fine. I have a feeling that Soda may be the root cause of the problem. Maybe I'll yank the switches out tomorrow and see what I can find. I know it's not the seats because I swapped in some 99 I30T seats and nothing changed.

You can take out your old switches and replace the light. LED would be best. Get the parts from Radio Shack.

Or I'm sure you'l find someone to sell you new ones.

the light only tells you that they are on. If your light is burnt out, the heated seats should still work. Mine did for like 2 years. I finally changed the bulb and had a hell of a time trying to find that bulb. Nissan dosen't even have a part number for it??? New switches are like 35 bucks or something. Go that route if you think the switch has been damaged due to a liquid spill.

My bulbs where burned out but my heated seats still worked. It takes a while for them to get warm. I replaced my light bulbs with 3mm 5000 mcd white LED's. I think there is a group deal somewhere or you can just buy them on E-bay (Cheap). Radio Shack has ridiculus prices on LED's . They wanted $5 for 1 white 5mm. If your switch is dirty inside it should be easy to clean while you have it apart.

Ok, so, what fuses are for the heated seats?? I dont see any marked specifically for them. I am new to Maxima's I would presume that they have combined the fuses for different functions, so it would not surprise that they put the heated seats in with something else. I have looked at the fuses (unless there are some i dont know about) and only found 1 that was blown which was the lighter fuse. btw, car is a 95, with leather seats and there are two switches in the center console.

Heated seats fuse is F29 (10Amp) in the underdash fuse box. That is the only this that fuse is used for.

Heated seat wont shut off

I own a 2004 Max SE with heated seats and they randomly turn on even with the switch off. I tried looking for the harness to disconnect temp thru the summer but cant find it. No fuse is set for just the heated seats, it disconnects the entire seat.

Any suggestions before the shop?

wrong section, you should post in the 6th gen section not the 4th gen.

What do you mean by "Any suggestions before the shop?"
