Cheaper parts?
I need a bumper for a 97-99 conversion (w/fogs). I checked about 10 junkyards on the phone. Waste of time. I asked at nissan today for the hell of it. ****heads want 370CAN$ for it. Fogs are 192CAN$ each plus two 40$ fog supports. That's 834CAN$ for the friggin bumper. Sublimely ridiculous.
Anywhere else I can get them cheaper? I checked car-part.com also - it says no such item, problem with the search thing I think.
I simply don't get it. How can junkyards NOT have a 1997-1998-1999 bumper with fogs? Maximas aren't rare cars...

I assume you could get a non OEM bumper from a body parts supplier. I've got a non OEM 96 bumper sitting in my garage right now, so I know those exist. I would look through the yellow pages. In my city there is a place called Auto Body Panels that sells both OEM and non OEM body parts.

If you have a place called triwest auto parts in your town, call them. non oem 97 nissan bumper 182 canadian. not primered or painted. I'm from edmonton alberta and that's the cheapest i've been able to find.
If no triwest, maybe phone a local bodyshop and see if they have any recommendations on where they purchase their stuff from. Usually they purchase non oem to replace collision damage because to the insurance company it's all the same and it's cheaper. To the customer sometimes the fitment is a little bit off.
hope that helps.
