Car dies on idle (random times)
Hey guys,
Last night when i was driving to a new years party, my car stalled at a stop. I was like... uhm ok.... so i start it, and notice it's having a rough idle... so i take off... get to my destination and the car just stalls again. I start it, it stalls, start, stall... i start it, floor it and it stays on when i'm pressing the gas. When not, it stalls again. I like giving things time, so i goto my party, later that night come out to start it and leave (sober ) and it starts fine.
I drop some friends off about 5miles down and when i stop there, it stalls.
I start it up, it's ok again, I get home and it's got a semi decent idle...
any ideas whats going on? I know my coil packs are not all measuring the same resistance...
Could it be the fuel pump? coil packs?
note, i was also getting hesitation when on the road... the car sometimes felt like it was losing power and then it would come back. Like a knock sensor sudennly going bad, then coming back again...
Any ideas guys?
Thanks

if you know your some of your coils arent mesauring the right resistance then you know those will need to be replaced.
Check vacuum lines make sure there are no holes or leaks (but if you had one I'd like to think that you'd stall all the time, not stall then fine then stall then fine.)
check Maf.
Hmmm . . thinking what else. . .
