BACK to loving the Max again

Well its been a LONG battle. Dif. Bearing failure in tranny 1, tranny 2 = no 2nd gear syncro, and FINALLY 3rd trans is OK. Also while I was under there went for the Clutch Net 6 Puck Sprung Hub Clutch. All that was awesome UNTIL i threw 3 codes and the car would not start. So a new Fuel Filter, 2 New heated o2 Sensors, 5 gallons of Gas and 3 hours under the car in the New England cold fixed that right up. This Christmas brought a B&M Shifter - so that was installed and FINALLY ALL CODES ARE CLEARED AND I LOVE MY CAR AGAIN!

Driving around with the CEL OFF and just loving the clutch, transmission AND the shifter is just awesome. I'm so psyched that its all done and figured i would come on here and be positive for once.

NOW I can start my BOOST project that has been on hold. Do you have any idea how much it hurts to see a HUGE box full of supercharger parts just DYING to get under the hood? Ok Ok, although there is not much else to say - I'm happy to be an active member again and HOPE there is a New England meet soon so I can show off this past 2 months of work!

Glad to hear of the good work, nothing like that good feeling when you car is fixed again. Must be cold but thing we do for our cars. What size pulley do you have for the S/C kit?

I love my car too even though I have no codes, but Tranny Bearings again, axle, and more but I still love her every time I start her up, warm her up, then take a visit to 5K every now and then.

matty you're insane - that car is sick. I'm DYING to get the supercharger in now that I am back at 100% - thinking I am gonna start conservative with the 3.33 pulley and see what happens from there....

ahhh so satisfied.

I know what I'll be dreaming of tonight......

You guys are nuts tho!! How the hell do you get the money for these kinda mods?! I'm 21 too but there is no way in hell I'm droppin like $4000 for a supercharger. First off, I don't have that kinda dough. And secondly, I need it for when I get outta college and wanna get my own place, etc.

No offense here....Just curious to see how y'all are able to fork out this type of dough (Hope this isn't too off-topic).

I work hard...

I look at like this...
Most of my friends drink and smoke (CIGS) One pack a day is about $5X365= $1825 just on Cigs some people do two = about $3400...then going out and gettin drunk on the weekend, weekdays sometimes, about $50 a week ABOUT = $2500...thats roufly $4000 (ONE PACK + Drinking) a year wasted by my friends...I have no car payments, just insurance, and my cell phone..

Im not sayin I Never do go out, but I dont waste my money on smoking and drinking but I do have a good hobby and it keeps me outa trouble

I hope you get what I mean..but what I just told you, I tell to my parents when they get on me about it

Yeah I basically work year round - I work 40-60 hours a week durring the summer and my time off from college, and I work 20-35 hours a week durring college. Also, i've always been good at generating money since i was little, so I do TONS of things to generate loot. Nothing illegal, and oh yeah I dont smoke weed or cigs either so thats a money saver. I do drink occasionally but my hobbies are pretty inexpensive except for the maxima...and playing guitar (got TOO much invested there)

And how does the 6 puck feel? - eh, i'm satisfied. It's pretty aggresive and needs to be slipped generously to not chatter but its driveable - just huge change from stock. 1100 miles....
