Changed Intake Setup :: Short Ram => K&N Popcharger

Read about how the midpipe screws up volumetric airflow and saw that one dyno that indicated the popcharger (cone filter w/stock resonator) would return some lost HP. Decided to switch it up this weekend.

Initial results....

Butt Dyno Result: No difference. (crap)
Sound Result: A little quieter. Def doesn't sound stock tho.
Acceleration does feel a little smoother and linear.


But I haven't had a chance to drive it too much. I'll let you guys know how the max performs on my way to and from work during the week.

nice, im planning on switching mine back after i get the stock mid pipe painted, think it will look good gunmetal?

i dont know. i just took my resonator box off the car and put a custom midpipe on with a Apexi filter. The only difference I noticed was in the sound, not in performance. car pulled the same it did before through the rpm range.

you guys make it sound like the sound is so annoying. I only hear it when I accelerate fast. Normal driving it sounds the same but when i hit the gas WOT or 3/4 of the way, then i could hear it but other wise, no sound.
