hamburger haze

hamburger haze

i removed the burger from the back today, and some of the paint under it has a haze, i tried compounding it...but no luck, i hope i dont have to put it back on

use paint thinner then just keep compounding in over and over and over again

i got all the adhesive off with paint thinner, the haze is just on the middle part of where the emblem was, if i keep compounding it it will come out??...is there anything else i should use?

just make sure the compound is safe for clear coats, it took me a bunch of coats to get it all out, and rub hard

Same here, I just left it. Its only really noticable when other headlights shine on it at night.

Oh i see, I left out i have that also, thats the Original paint. The color is diffrent, because no sun ever shined on it. Don't worry not noticable. If you get your car Detailed they can teake it out.

I was going to suggest doing a throrough detail job -- clay bar, polish, wax, everything. You shouldn't notice it after all that.

Yah its probably always going to look a little different in color. Get it with a good polish, you probably should stop using the compound becasue the compound doesnt have anything to remove. Polish and seal it, you will be good to go

i compounded, clay barred, and polish, and i still BLATANTLY notice it, its a bluish/hazy mark where the square part of the emblem was, any other options....no one experienced this?...i debadged my last max with no problems

its more noticable on some colors than others. try getting it buffed but you might not get it to completly matching cause of the sun contact with the trunk.

i say just leave it , no one will notice it.

you gotta take a wheel to it with some compound, thats the only way to even out the paint, you'll be there for days doing it by hand.
