keyless remote

Anybody know if there's a way to reprogram the remote? I'd like the car to make some noise of flash some lights when I unlock it. Unless it's dark out there's no way to tell if it's unlocked until you go to open the door!

I take it you have a 95 or 96. You can't program a beep on a 95 or 96. But, you can create a buzzer with a couple of parts. Although, your hazard lights should flash when you lock the doors. I think the beep would be annoying with our gross horns. Just look to see if the hazard lights flash two times. I can actually hear the doors lock from the outside.

The reason that your hazards flash is because of the signal that comes from the BCM. The signal is sent when you "lock", but a new "Unlock" signal cannot be programmed into the BCM. There is no indication of unlock other than the domelight coming on and the doors unlocking, so you would have to tap into one of these power sources. You shouldn't use the dome unless you want hazards every time the light comes on. Your idea isn't a new one, and it would most likely take far too much time to do than is worth for the hassle.

i also have a 98 and i was wondering where the sensor is that recieves the signal from the keyless entry remote? i just bought my car and i have a feeling it has the keyless entry feature but the guy i bought the car from lost it... i just wanna know how i can check my car to see if i have the keyless entry feature. is there an extra fuse someplace that would denote this?

The keyless entry unit is in the trunk. It's behind the carpet on the right side. It says KEYLESS ENTRY on it so you can't miss it.
