fixing hacked airbox

Well after hacking the bottom of my airbox and having it on for awhile, Id rather it be stock sounding again. I dont have the plastic that I orginally cut out of the box so I was trying to come up with ideas on what to cover the hole with. I thought maybe cutting a random piece of plastic and then gluing it or melting the plastic together a little to make it more secure. Anybody have any better suggestions? Anybody know how much an airbox goes for at a junkyard?

aahh you could be ghetto and get another plastic thats BIGGER than the whole and screw it on. it doesnt matter no one will see it just make sure its secure.

I just got an extra airbox before I hacked mine. You should be able to find one in the for sale section or at a junk yard for cheap.

im sure there are plenty of people on the org who'd be willing to part ways with their stock air box... also try junkyards, I would think no more than $10.00 for the lower airbox if you go there

What do you mean you don't like the sound? How does it sound?

It just a deeper sound, definatlty quieter than any other intakes. Its not like its a bad noise, you can only really hear it when you step on the gas or outside of the car. I dunno after having this for awhile and then driving my friends stock maxima I thought Id like to try the quiet sound again
