Installing a Y-pipe on a 96?

Installing a Y-pipe on a 96?

how hard is it? should i just let my mechanic do it? how longdid it take you?

Easy if you use PB Blaster to get the bolts to break free. Took me like an hour cause of my ****ty jack that doesnt go up high enough. If I had a lift, maybe 20 minutes.

do you need to buy an o2 socket? or can you use something else?

Umm i just used an open ended wrench. I think it was a 7/8" but im not sure. I can look tonite. It was the only thing I had that was big enough.

Yep pretty easy, took me a little over an hour and I was taking my time making sure everything was perfect.

I just did two installs this weekend. Took us three hours to do the first car because some bolts didnt wanna come off or were hard to get to, we had to make parts runs, and the O2 sensors wouldn't go back in straight.

Second time around, took us right around an hour.

took me about 15-20 minutes after on a lift after I coated all the bolts with PB blaster... of course, I had air tools and o2 sockets and everything... but its an easy install if you know what you're doin..
