The same thing happens to me and it turned out to be my wheel bearing.

Check the boots to see if they are torn first...

I just replaced both of my front cv joints/axles less than 1,000 miles ago. This got rid of the clicking while making u-turns things like that. But now i hear a clicking sound while turning the wheel parked or moving very slowely. The mechanic told me that it my strut mounts/bearings. Maybe this is your problem.

was it creaking or clicking (for strut mounts). heh.

I always thought clicking was CV, and creaking was strut mounts. I've had both problems.

Tho to the original poster....It's not impossible to get poor parts...but it's sad to see Nissan OEM ones do this...how much did the OEM axles cost you?

I wouldn't be surprised if autozone axles failed after one year, as I have them.

Suprisingly I did not hear it all of the time when I was driving. I would hear it when I made right turns at low speeds. As the bearing got worse, I would hear it more often and at higher speeds.

when you start to hear the clicking...push in your clutch that will disengage the axle...if you stop clickin thats your problem...if not youve got other issues
