Lifters.

Can they be adjusted? There is a slight rubbing noise coming from one of my lifters and someone told me that I can have my lifters adjusted and it will fix it. I don't know about it, I've never heard of that being done.

??

We don't have lifters. We have a direct acting tappet system. It can't be adjusted.

The tappets are measured, and if found to be out of spec, they are replaced. It's not a simple job by any stretch.

It's kinda of annoying .... its just not like it used to be.

My boyfriend said with my next oil change we will go ahead and put a bottle of Lucas in there.... he said that will make it less noisey. He said I'm paranoid and I just blow the littlest things out of proportion when it comes to my car.

But if your saying a little noise is normal too, I will just not worry about it for now.

Thank you.
