It takes like 5 minutes. Take of intake midpipe. Get flathead, loosen clamps, put flathead between filter and hose, pry to make hose bigger, then pull filter out. 10 minutes tops to do.

Never pull on those hoses.
They act like a chinese finger lock: the more you pull, the tighter they get.

Push on the hoses with some pliers.
The job time is a matter of seconds, not hours.

When I went to do the fuel filter I did it with a buddy, we could get one hand on it from the top and one hand on it from the bottom...so he lay under the car while I leaned over the engine. We got the job done in about an hour and a half, but not after dumping fuel into his face...I thought it was pretty funny but he didn't think so.

I found it easier to remove the fuse and crank a few times. But also the tube that runs from the top of the fuel filter into the engine, I removed it at the engine connection and helped release the pressure there. Once it was disconnected from the engine I put it back on and when I tried to remove the tube coming from the top of the fuel filter it came off very easily when I twisted it.

I Heard it is not good to remove it from the top, You can get air into the Fuel Delivery system and it can cause problems. I could be wrong.

I've never heard that although I could be wrong... but then when you put the new filter in... its completely full of nothing but air

Thats why fuel systems pressurize themselves before start up

I just did mine....took off the filter with no problem...had the intake assembly still on...then when I went to put the new one in I saw I would never get it on without taking the intake assembly off....once I did that it was simple just some twisting and pushing

now its time to make sure there are no leaks

Geeez, it took me less than an hour to do this and I even did it at night! Use brute strength if all else fails. I did take the airbox off and with that out of the way, I had plenty of room to work with. I did sustain a few knuckle cuts.

hold the bottom line and just keep twisting the the filter... eventually it will give and start rotating freely and u can yank it off.
