How to spend a sunday

Well for those that don't know, I blew my engine ~14 months ago.. I just got around to tearing it apart...

2 of the allen screws were stripped out, so I did not get all the pistons out... but I got the broken one out...

Blown one VS Normal one

All in all is was not that hard....

Here's a shot of the cylinder...

Not to much damage inside of it... I think it could be reused.. just needs to be cleaned.. don't know what I am going to do with all of this

Anywho.. just thought I'd share.

And FWIW.. I was finding little parts of piston all over the timing chain

i hope you arent going to reuse that motor without a complete tear down and inspection. Bits of metal in the oil can FUBAR anything and everything.

How long was the motor running when and after the pistion took a dump?

if you are going to reuse it, i'd suggest you balance your crank.

Would a 6th Gen Motor fit in there? If I blew my motor (and had the money) I would upgrade. Then again, if anything stock blew, that would be all the more reason to upgrade.
