Those in process of installing leather
For those in process of installing leather from the Leatherseats.Com group deal ... how much time did it take to do the front buckets relative to the rear? I did the rear this past weekend ... looks really nice but it took a lot more time than I anticipated. I was guessing that the entire front and rear could be completed in 8-10 hours since the instructions indicated that an experienced installer would take 4 hours or so.
i have been working on my seats whenever i have time. so far, i have finished the back seat and the passenger front seat, minus the back panel (i still have to glue on the vinyl fabric). the front seat took some time to do, the bottom cushion on the front seat comes off, and i found out that it was easier to go ahead and take the metal pan off too. that made instaling the leather easier.
the driver's seat may be easier than the passenger seat, because i had a hard time with the right side of the passenger seat. there are plastic clips that need to be clipped around a metal bracket, but the clips didnt quite fit. i had to fandangle the side, but finally got it to look right.
to answer you question, the passenger seat took about 2 hours, but about 30 minutes of it was trying to figure out how to make it work, so maybe it would be 1.5 hours.
