97se: when parked outside in freezing temperatures, car starts fine and engine sounds good, however, there is an intermittent wining sound? fuel pump? problem clears when engine warms. what is causing the sound, how to fix it?

 

Is it a whining sound or is it more of a screeching sound?

If it's screeching, you need some new belts. My car makes that sound right when I start up too, and I'm replacing my belts soon.
