hey guys i'm lowering my car 2 inches with springtech springs and illuminas and i was thinkin to adjust the camber with a camber kit while i was at it. I was lookin at the eibach camber bolt kit and i wanted to do a 1.75 degree negative camber. Can anyone tell me what the ups and downs of having a negative camber? Sorry guys I AM a noob

 

from http://maxmods.dyndns.org it looks like you won't need a camber kit with any drop up to about two inches. I'm getting coilovers on mine as soon as they come in the mail, so I'm gonna need some camber bolts.

the camber is just the angle the tire makes with the ground. a positive camber means the outside of the tire is more on the road than the inside and a negative camber is the exact opposite. a slight negative camber is usually recommended as it will provide better cornering and handling, but too much will cause the inside of the tire to wear prematurely. (another good reason to rotate the tires frequently). the stock camber is about -1.0 degrees in the front and -1.5 degrees in the rear.
