I have the old Budget Y-pipe(not polished) for $187. My bro just bought a polished one for $200. I think the exchange rate went up, therefore the change in price.

Old guy's max

I have a 95 GXE with a rusted, leaking factory y that I plan on replacing. I have seen this type of spring loaded flex connector used on other vehicles without problems, so I am willing to try it. Will be in the vicinity of Warpspeed's shop in a few weeks visiting relatives and will have it installed. I will pass on sound, fitment, etc. info when I return.

I'm not gonna bother with upgrading my current mandrel WSP y pipe with this new one they have...I talked to Dallas and he told me the flow difference is marginal at best...it's just quieter....besides....I am trying to get headers instead anyway...

i think my budgey is loud and maybe the wsp willl help brind down the sound and even if it doesnt, a new mod is a new mod, even if the difference is marginal this pipe looks like it is much better quality than the budget.

You have to be kidding? That looks better than your budget pipe? You sure you have a budget? My pipe is 2 years old, has rust on the welds and still looks like a better quality product.

I tried to do it myself but my **** was too rusted....i had to have a garage torch the bolts off but they only charged $50 for install. I had no SES light and once I got in the car I could tell the diff immediately.

First off all the noise is soo freakin minimal it is crazy. It is super quiet and even though the pipe kinda looks like **** it has great gains.....same as other warpspeed and stillen y-pipes if not more.

All in all I think this is a great pipe...I am just worried about rusting but that is a long way away.

Question.....

Those of you that have this y-pipe, how long have you had it and hows the flex holding up? Bee's in the can, yes or no?

Thanks.

Ive had mine for about a month and a half. mine sounds great except at WOT in first and second gear but im almost positive it is bc of a faulty gasket at the cat (which im replacing in about 2 weeks) that is allowing an exhaust leak.

The only reason why I brought this thread back to life is because of a recent poll a member created regarding which Ypipes having bee's-in-can-sound. Many with WSP testified that they have no beans in the can. I started considering WSP too and then I remembered this thread so I figured I post and see where everyone is at with theirs.

Several posts back, someone brought up the sturdiness of the new flex joint. Start from post #22.

well unless you tighten the crap out of those springs at the flex then it will be fine - thats the whole point of the ball and socket concept this design has introduced.

they are very helpful i even talked to dallas. the BS i was talking about was buying it, having problems(if i did), try to fix them, if not shipping it back for another 20bills, waiting for a new one, takign it on and off 4 times......u get the point...... i want something reliable, meaning that when it arrives at my door i shoudlnt have any problems wut so ever. and it seems like the majority like 4 of 6? have problems.

thats understandable - but that can happen w/ any company. and at least you know with WSP that they will go out of their way to help you if anything goes wrong at all - cant always say that about other companies.

i personally have faith in my superflo that its gonna sounds great once i fix it but if you wanna go with something "tried and true" then ive heard alot of good feedback from budget owners. your call.

whether you get a warpspeed or a budget, the risk of having the "bees in a can" noise seems equal... they have the same flex section, excluding the super-flo of course, i guess all you can go by is people's feedback
