Infinity Remote Ok For Maxima??
I dont think it will work. I have a 96 max and my dad has a 97 infinity and I tried screwing with him byprogramming mine to his and vice versa....long story shot I had no success. I dont think that you can use one for the other. Hopefully someone on here knows better. But to program it, get in your car and lock the doors. Jam the key in and out of the ignition a bunch to clear the existing codes. Youll know you put it in and out enough when the hazards flash twice. After they do put the key in and turn it to accessories and push the lock button. If its all done right the hazards will flash twice again and the remote should work.
Anyone who may knows better, please let me know if any of this is wrong.

yes, of course you can use it, in fact, I bought an I30 keyless entry fob from a fellow org member, and I use it everyday for my '98 GLE.
stick the key in the ignition 6 times in 10 seconds with the doors locked. Then, press the "lock door" button. It worked great for me, I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work for you.

Yes, all remotes from a specific time period around your production date are compatible, Nissan and Infiniti and vice versa as tavarish said. (I think all the mid to late 90s remotes were compatible... from like 94 or so forward... until about 2000 or so, I don't know exactly when they changed the remote model)
