Am I missing anything before upgrading suspension?

Hey. So I'm pairing up my suspension with H&R springs and tokico illuminas . I know there are some other items I need to replace/install when installing.
Please let me know if I'm missing any. (add to the list if you will)

1) KYB dustboots
2) shock bearings (I think that's what it's called)
3)...?

THank you all in advance.

i've heard that the kyb dust boots are crap....just giving you a heads up.

I'm also going to upgrade my suspension, and I need to know what else I need for the spring/strut setup.

New upper rear mounts from me

Seriously, the KYB boots are fine. Some of them tear, but they are still much nicer than OEM.

Also consider the front strut insulators while you have it apart. Mine busted at 110k and 130k. Makes a nice clunk sound when they're broke.

so is the list complete?

1) KYB dustboots
2) front bearings
3) rear mounts
4) strut insulators (where can I get these??????)

Now, what about "rear bearings" and "front mounts"?

there are no rear bearings and as for the front mounts unless they are broken there is no need to change them, if you need to just get the OEM

isn't it ok if I just get the OEM rear mounts? The ones mzmtg is selling are expensive: $75.

True...might not be that much expensive over the oem ones but the benefits should be worth the money. I know my car needs them badly, plus my struts are all shot! Those mounts are almost necessary if your using lowering springs. That'll be next in the list after I get the clutch master and slave replaced in a few weeks.

I am also doing the Illuminas and H&R springs in about a month or so. So I have 106k on my 99SE-L, so I should also replace front strut mounts and insulators, and rear mounts? And dust boots if needed ? I guess if they go down the road, they will already be done. It's okay to just go with OEM ? Good thing someone posted this, because I would not have known to replace those things.
Thanks boys
Jeff

They aren't THAT expensive

If you arent going to get mine, don't get any.

The mount is just a stamped piece of metal, there's no reason to replace it. There's nothing to wear out.

how do I go about ordering them from you? Also, do these really help the rear suspension travel as others have claimed?

While you are at it, check your c.v. boots and the axle seals from the tranny to the driveshaft. If that stuff is bad, you've got everything apart, might as well fix it right then and there.

43 to 58 ft-lbs.
